How do you remove the fuse box behind the coin tray in Subaru Outback 2003? Very small area to work in?
I can get the coin tray out. I think I see the fuse box laying face down but I can’t figure out how to remove the box. It is a very very small area. I’ve already cut my hand on the plastic edge.
Do you need to use some sort of tool?
Whoa, stop right there. I think you are behind the wrong coin tray and looking at the air bag control module.
The fuse box is behind the coin tray, about 3″ by 4″ in size, on the lower left of the steering wheel and column….about where your left knee would contact the dash if you slid straight forward.
You will not need to remove the fuse box to check the fuses. They are all visible and accessible.
There is another fuse panel under the hood (driver’s side inner fender) for things concerning headlights, a/c, and such.
