Which used SUV is the best for me?
Hi, I want to buy a SUV for our family that costs about 10-15K, is reliable and has a good Mpg
I looked up used SUVs that are:
- not more expensive than 15K
- have 60.000 miles or less
- have a good Mpg
What I don’t know is which of those are most reliable.
Here is my list:
2005-07 Toyota RAV4
2004-06 Honda CR-V
2007 Kia Sportage
2005 Subaru Outback 2.5i
2006 Subaru Forester 2.5 X
2006-07 Hyundai Tucson
(2005-08 Ford Escape 2WD Hybrid) I heard that I should avoid American cars but I read some good reviews
What do you think? Is there a car on that list that you would or would not recommend to me.
Or is there a car missing on the list I should take a look at?

You can take a chance with Ford but if you get a lemon you’re screwed.
Don’t get the Kia or Hyundai, my neighbor has a Tucson and that thing already broke down twice.
You can’t go wrong with the Subaru, Honda or Toyota.
For the best mileage I would go with a RAV4 or the CR-V, but if you need more room go for the Forester.
