Why does a subaru impreza sound like its on 3 cylinders at the exhaust? The engine sounds like it has a misfire. They all do it. Thanks
I don’t think that’s the reason, the car makes this noise whilst parked up too. Traction control would not be used then but thanks for answering… any other suggestions people? Cheers
It’s because the engine has horizontally opposed cylinders (boxer engine). As a result of this the headers are of unequal length. This gives the exhaust the distinctive burble. Hope this helps.
