Thinking about buying a Subaru?
I need something that is dead nuts reliable, gets around well in the winter, has five passenger capability, is easy on gas, and is either a wagon or hatchback so I can throw my guitar and other stuff in the back. I’m thinking Subaru.
Normally, I’ll buy a car that’s a couple years old, so I guess I’m looking at an ’05 Subaru. Any particular models to look for? Anything to watch out for? Any ideas on where I can look for good deals?

I bought this car specifically with hauling band gear in mind. It works and I like it. It is better then a Jeep Liberty, which someone else mentioned, or any other vehicle where the rear gate opens like a door. When you flip up the tailgate, you have total access to load and unload without trying to angle stuff in there. You also have a rain shield overhead for those nasty days.
It holds virtually the same amount as a Forester, but I found the Forester to be a bit too choppy in the ride. I thought I was going to buy a Forester and ended up with an Outback.
