Unlike some vehicles equipped with touch screen LCD, the Outback’s LCD display is located where navigating through its functions will be easy. What powers the 2008 model year Subaru Outback is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder boxer engine which produces 243 horsepower with the help of a turbocharger and an improved Subaru cold air intake system. This power is needed by the Outback as it is a hefty vehicle. It tips the scale at 3,600 lbs and is 89 inches long. With those dimensions, the turbocharged engine’s power output will be put to good use.
