Are Toyota Solaras reliable?

I am looking to buy an extra car, and its a 2002 Solara with 125000 miles for $5000. Its a 4 cylinder. Currently I own a Subaru Outback 6 cylinder, and it doesn’t have repairs at all. Now how would this Solara compare. I picked it because, I can’t find another Subaru in this price range, and because I read Solaras are very reliable. Anyone that owns one, care to help? Is it worth that much, and are engines good for that kind of miles? My dad has a Toyota Van, and its very reliable V6, but I don’t know anyone that has these 4 cylinder Toyotas. Thank You.

Hy, I am a mechanic of 13 years and I have never seen one of those motors make more then 140,000 miles so I would not recommend that car. A good car would be a cavalier or buick regal from year 1985 to 1994 for both cars. And even though they might be old but they are very reliable cars they can make 200,000 miles easy and get good gas mileage.
