Can you legally board up a rear car window and still drive it? Will it pass VA inspection?
The rear passenger side window (the one behind the back seat rolling window) of our 1995 subaru legacy was broken. The repair cost is more than a windshield repair!! Can we opt to board it up with wood instead and still be legal? The car is old and visuals arent a worry. It does not impact visability as far as I can tell as you can still see clearly out the back windshield and we have all 3 rear/side view mirrors. So can we just tidy it up with wood or a hard clear plastic? Will it pass inspection?
Not in most states. How about a piece of clear Plexiglases? Any good hardware store should be able to cut out a piece for you. Either that or some clear plastic.
