A car like the Subaru WRX?
I have been a big fan of the Subaru WRX for a long time, and I had planned on getting one when I started my full-time job. Well, I’m starting my full-time job, and the lease on my car runs out February 2009.
Here’s my delimma. I really don’t like the direction the body-style of the WRX has gone in the past few years. It used to have it’s own unique style, and now it just looks alot like other cars on the market. And now you can only get the STI in a hatchback???? No thanks.
Now I’m looking for a car that is as similar to the WRX as possible in price (around $24,000 base price), performance, and its former good looks. Anyone know of such a car(s)?
Which Legacy GT do you recommend?
I’m there with you on the hate of the new body style.. If you’re so keen to stay with Subaru, then why not move into a leftover (06-07)WRX, or something other than an Impreza.. perhaps a Legacy GT? The performance is close, but the Legacy is IMO, a lot more cushy for the money, more interior room, more gadgets ( butt warmers kick a$$), and the same reliability Subaru is known for..
