Adding cruise control to 2000 Subaru Legacy?
I own a 2000 Subaru Legacy. I would like to add cruise control to it.
What parts will I need? I know I will need to do some wiring, what wiring is necessary? Will the car’s computer be capable with the cruise control? What parts will I need? I would prefer to use the original factory version of the cruise control.

1. You need the cruise control kit from the dealership, should cost you rougly around 200 bucks. But as for 2000, the parts are running out, good luck.
2. There is a switch, a hydralic module (for installation under the hook), a wiring (prepared in the kit) for you to install it.
3. Your cruise control “set button” is technically on the steering wheel, where your air-bag is located. I would personally suggest you to bring the car to the dealer to install it. The package (parts and labor) may cost you around 300 bucks (labor is usually 1-1.5 hour flat rate). If there is a slightly discharge or shortening on the wiring, the air-bag may deploy and cause a lot more problem.
(BTW, I don’t think there is an aftermarket cruise control for the legacy).
