If cost and financing are not a factor? The Subaru.
My current Mazda6 has faithfully served me for 80,000 miles now and is as strong as ever. I have no regrets.
I got the Mazda because I could get a V6 for literally the same price as a 4 cylinder Accord LX or Camry LE. Same miles, same options, two more cylinders.
But that new Legacy GT in Black? Wow. And it’s all wheel drive. And turbocharged.
It’s like having all the good stuff that comes in an Eclipse GSX with 4 doors and no crankwalk.
Earlier Subarus were plain or just plain ugly (I did finally get used to the grill on the 06 Impreza…it was supposed to mimic a jet intake. It actually looked like an ox-collar.) But Subaru finally found their styling.
