How much hp should i expect out of a exhaust upgrade on my subaru wrx?
The car is a 03 wrx it has a vf22, front mount intercooler,Tial bov, GM boost controller solenoid, Pink injectors, walbro fuel pump, and a 07 6speed sti tranny. The car has been proffessionally tuned open source to 20psi. The car feels good and strong to me but i have been thinking of getting rid of that restricting stock exhaust. How much power do you guys think it has right now. I have not been able to take it to the track or the dyno. Mygoal really is close to 300 hp, What mods could i do to help me reach it other than the exhaust? Thanks for all your answers, greatly appreciated!
Talk to your tuner. The exhaust from the turbo back is one of the first mods done on stock cars. This can yield 50 hp with a tune. I would guess you could pick up that by replacing the stock exhaust. Letting the car breathe will take advantage of your current mods.
