How good is the 2007 Subaru Legacy?
I noticed on the window sticker that it was made in Indiana. But the parts are Japanese. However, on the Impreza, it was made in Washington State, using 100% Japanese parts. Is the Legacy a good car?

I also have an Outback, but it’s quite similar to the Legacy. My ’07 Outback is the 6-cylinder that you can’t get in a Legacy, so I can’t compare there, but my ’06 Outback had the 4-cylinder that you would get in the base Legacy. It’s an acceptable engine, but I felt like I was flogging it to get into traffic at merges, etc. It never complained, but I passed the 4-cyl to my daughter and bought a 6-cyl for my right foot.
Prior to the Subaru’s, I had a Honda Accord (6-cyl) and I thought I’d never buy anything but another Honda. Now I’m thinking that way about Subaru’s. I don’t know that I will “need” another Outback when the time comes, but if that’s what I have to buy to get the 6-cylinder engine then I will. The turbo was “fast,” but not “quick,” if you know what I mean.
