I want to buy a new 2010 subaru legacy and trade in my 2005 ford focus st. Can I do this and get out of my c?
A new 2010 legacy is about 25,000. I owe 8500 on my car and it has a trade in value of 5500. Will a car dealer usually do a deal like this? I want to trade my car in. I have no money to put down but good credit.
Take it from one that sold Subaru, yes a dealer will do this deal trust me I know one that would LLLLLOOOOVVVEEEEE to see you, your not that bad off. This is what they will do, they will take whatever rebate there is and put towards your trade, they will also take whatever mark up that they have and put it towards your trade however this really leaves no room for negotiation, this is called over allowance, basically retail to retail, you pay retail for their car and they give you retail for yours. If there is any balance owed after this they will tack it to the back. If you have good credit you should not need any money down. If you go to a dealer that has VW and Subaru then try to get them to finance you through VW they are pretty easy and have great rates.
