how to verify subaru sti spec c by the model number??
I got a subaru sti, japan spec,version 9. but i don’t know whether it is spec C or not. the detail as follow:

go to a subaru dealer take the full info from the chassis plate under the hood and they will tell you!
by the way i been working on subaru’s for a long time what is Spec C?
The numbers which you have given are both for the engine and one is for the model.
the chassis number tells you about the details of the car and how many there were made of that paticular model!
If its an special edition even the seats should have markings on it and a serial number would be on the car chassis tag.
