Subaru 99 Forester smoke like smell coming from area around tire/brake.seems like all four tire area maybe…what is it? And the passenger tire area ( the axel there was replaced…also just had a new transmisson put it) sqeaks when driving..I took it to the dealer and they said they found nothing ( about the sqeaking)
the axel was replaced about 2 months ago.
Could be an oil leak. I had one that was small, but leaked onto other parts that burned it off, creating the burning smell (and sometimes smoke).
