How is the Subaru Impreza WRX stock sound system?
Now im already sold on buying an 04′-06′ wrx but something that is unclear is the stock sound system quality. Which is very important to me. All I want to know is if it’s got enough bass boom (moderate is workable as long as its not wimpy where im going to need subs) as well as its range. Im looking for a system that can bump well into a reasonably loud dB range and if it can really capture the highs and lows. Owners opinions are preferable here…as how else would you really know. Thanks guys. Hoping for some good feedback.
I have an ’04 WRX, and the radio drives me mad. My favourite station is Kerrang 105.2, but if the signal is a bit weak, my radio automatically tries to tune into another station, which is a great bloody annoyance, because I am only really interested in listening to Kerrang.
The CD player is okay, it doesnt jump much at all. But there is no iPod docking facillity on my car, whch isn’t much of a surprise on an ’04 model.
As for Bass Boom, I’m not interested at all. Whenever I hear a heavy bass line emitting from a car, as if all the dwarves of Middle Earth are panel beating it, I look at the driver, and think “Dickhead!”
My advice, fit a sound system that you will enjoy, not one that will deafen you, give you vibration white finger, and make you look like a completely pubescent pillock to the rest of the World.
The bottom line is, if you already have a WRX, you don’t have to prove a point.
