induction kit for a subaru 1.6 classic 93<00 model?
hi people i was wondering if there is an induction kit available for this model car. my mate bought one for a non turbo model and fitted it today but it seems to be losing power not gaining it. is there a specific one available?
Yeah, there’s plenty of inducion kits available, but its not as simple as just fitting an air filter and getting more power.
The reason you’re loosing power is because Scoobies require setting up every time you make a modification, doesnt matter that it’s not a turbo! Unless you have a Subaru specialist or a really good performance centre at your disposal do not start playing around with the air flow, you’ll just make it run like a 3 legged donkey.
A replacement air induction kit along with a good quality exhaust (Sti centre section and prodrive back box works best), de cat and engine management remap will give you the best performance enhancement on the 1.6/2.0 models, but it needs to be set up buy a subaru specialist.
