the timing belt of the above car gave way and my mech says that the valves could have gone too! is this true? has anyone ever had this happening to them? is it wise to replace the engine or just the spoiled parts?(car has done about 98000km
Your best bet is to replace the engine JUST IN CASE. JDM dealers can provide you with a good one, and you will still keep the other as spare (in case) If you do not need to replace it then you can sell what you didn’t use and make some money out of it. Believe me, there are many JDM fans out there that will pay for it.
