The check engine light and cruise flashing came on. Diagnostics confirmed it is the catalytic converter P0420. It is a 2005 with 68,800K miles. Is Cat still under warranty?
DTC P0420 CATALYST SYSTEM EFFICIENCY BELOW THRESHOLD (BANK 1)
its not necessarily your catalytic converter. it can also be your rear oxygen sensor and air fuel ratio sensor as well. when these sensor circuit malfunctions it usually gives this code. get your sensors checked out first before you get to the expensive part.
