is it true that the subaru legasy cars make a loud noise when they are first started?
I drive a Subaru Legacy. I think the rumor was started by people that were not used with the Boxer start-up sound on very cold winter mornings. There is a grain of truth to the statement, the Subaru boxer engine will sound, when you crank it, very unique. It may sound like a diesel for a bit but as long as you are using the right oil it won’t make any noise outside what is normal for any car engine.
