Seems nobody knows the answer to– WHAT IS THE WEIGHT OF THE SUBARU EE20 DIESEL ENGINE?
Considering it for an aircraft. If the weight is right it might suit instead of a Lycoming engine. Anyone got a clue? Some info I found says its 25 lbs heavier than the EJ22 engine.
No point in giving me the info that the engine is 10kgs lighter than similar European 4 cylinder engines. I dont know the weight of them either. I guess nobody knows the answer???????
Fuji Heavy Industries did not reveal the mass of the EE20, but it is about 10kg lighter than the inline four-cylinder diesel engines developed by companies in Europe. The engine block is of a semi-closed deck design as in the case of the EJ20 and was rigidized by journals cast with iron metal.
