97 subaru legacy wont move in any gear?
97 subaru legacy wont move in any gear after i changed the the transmission filter. I noticed the tube that wraps around the transmission had two screws holding it in place, both of which were loose “finger tight”. Upon installation of the thew filter i snugged these screws and i do not know if this has anything to do with my problem. BTW i have done this very job many times with no problem on other cars and the AT oil temp light is also on.
I dont know if those were pressure adjusting screws or how i would go about adjusting them. I a have since let the car idle in neutral for a while instead of park and it is working now.
When you tightened those two adjusting bolts around the line, you cut the fluid line pressure pretty much to zero. No line pressure, no move.
