The Legacy/Impreza rumble?
Ok you’ve probably noticed that I like Subarus, a lot…. I have quite a few questions to ask. My knowledge of cars is ok ,like I know how an engine works,drivetrain, suspension, etc… But I need to learn more. Ok to the question, I don’t have a car yet but I’m planing to get a Subaru as a 1st car. Either an Impreza or a Legacy but the low spec models ( I’m living in South Africa and I need to be 18 to drive, I’m only 16 now,damn..) I want to get a Boxer rumble from a 2001 Subaru Legacy 2.0 GX / 1999 Subaru Impreza 2.0 GT. I want the rumble to sound similar to the ones in these links : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgSVFWOyDro

Suggestions please??? If I change the backbox to a freeflow ,can I get the rumble? Can you please tell me the parts and the costs P.S I ain’t rich. What can I do with R2000.00? (Around $190.00)
Neither of those clips show the true rumble that the Subaru’s are known for here. That equal length header sound is no different than any EVO or Honda. Search for WRX and Blitz or Perrin on Youtube and you will hear some awesome rumble. But I told you before, the sound difference is because of the header design. We get a different Header than in Japan and Europe.
