How much power for Subaru AWD Drift? 10 points!?
I know AWD cars need a lot of power so the wheels lose traction because they tend to be stable and grippy. How much power do you think I need for an 08 Impreza 2.5i to drift? I want to keep it AWD (not RWD for those who thought i should convert it) because I have to drive it in the winter. I also am stuck with this car so I can’t get a cheap 240sx or an old rx-7. I am also not going to do hardcore drifting, just light drifting in a parking lot or a very empty street. Thanks.
By buddy can do power slides with his RS so the power is there. The question is, are you prepared to pay to replace center diffs and transmissions? It’s not a good thing to do with an AWD cars not because it needs so much power but the front and back wheels turning at different speed really fast is not good for the drivetrain. The price to replace parts will be higher than buying an early 90’s Miata so I would look into that instead.
