Big differnces in Subaru Impreza WRX STi models?
I really love subaru’s new 2008-2009 hatch model. But i looked into the models and they’re just too confusing to me. I saw that there’s a wrx, an impreza, an impreza wrx, a wrx sti, and an impreza wrx sti. Honestly, what are the big differences between these 5 models? I heard that one has a 5 speed and one has a 6 speed and all i want is a 5 because i doubt i could handle a 6.
There is the impreza, Impreza WRX and the Impreza WRX STI. They are all Impreza’s. The WRX is a 5 speed turbocharged model and they were 2 liter till 06 when they became 2.5 liters. The STI is upgraded in many ways over the WRX. 6 speed, Brembo brakes, better flowing heads and bigger turbo and intercooler to name a few of the big things. There’s also the different interior, park bench wing, HID lights among other cosmetic differences. The new STI’s from 08 and up are actually pretty amazing so if it’s in your budget, I would definitely consider one.
