What would be the cost of taking the turbo out of a 1999 subaru impreze wrx?
i wanna get a wrx soon. but because of the nsw constrictions we cant drive turbo, supercharge, v8+ etc.. i need to kno what the cost wud be to take out a turbo from a 1999 wrx. thank you 
I don’t think any parts are made for this kind of modification. Once the turbo is out, you would need to plug the vacuum lines going to the turbo & waste-gate, somehow cap the oil lines and possibly coolant lines which also go to the turbo.
You would then need a custom piece for the exhaust that would include an up-pipe flange and down-pipe flange connected together with an approximate 90 degree bend of custom tubing.
That would eliminate the turbo out of your system. But you might have some massive troubles with the car going super rich on full throttle… which you will be doing a lot without the extra boost on the low compression turbo engine.
This will also cost you quite a bundle if you are having the work done for you.
