The lowest price I can pay for a subaru outback at a dealer?
I want to buy a subaru outback for my first car. Does anyone know the blue book price and the lowest that a dealer would go? I have $1400. I would want a first or second-generation outback. A legacy would be my second choice. Thanks!
Also, it needs to be All-Wheel Drive.
You are going to have a hard time finding any Subaru worth buying for $1,400. I did an “autotrader.com” search for Outbacks and only 5 came up, 3 of them being sold as is at “auction”. Doing both Outbacks and Legacys still returned only 12 listings nationwide.
You can go here and search by make, model, location, etc and see what the asking price is for various vehicles.

I’d recommend that you keep your options open and look for a reliable vehicle from a trustworthy dealer, regardless of the make or model.
Subarus are great! I’m on my 3rd one now (2009 Forester) and believe me, it will be pretty close to worn out (just like the previous 2) before I’ll part with it.
