do subaru wrx’s last a long-ass time?
should I buy one with 177,000 miles on it? or should I just not? I have an extremely beat up 91 toyota pickup with 250k miles on it I’ve had since I was 16. I’m 26 now.
The Subaru is an ’02, REALLY NICE. I could pay cash for it. My parents would help me with $4k, and I might be able to get 1.6k for my truck, and I’d pay the rest – it’s 8k total.
Seems like a decent price. All the others for sale on craigslist are way more, and only slightly better specs. This one wasn’t on craigslist, though.
They say it’s been impeccably maintained. The clutch was replaced 30K miles ago.
If it’s been maintained properly and not abused, there could still be plenty of life left in it. Problem is there is no way of knowing how it was driven so the risk is pretty high. And I guess it depends on where you live but that seems very high in price for the mileage. I have seen them go for that price with barely over 100,000 miles around here. For that one I wouldn’t pay more than $5500 for it.
