Reliability – Good, as are all the jap cars.
Cost of repairs – Expensive, as are all the jap cars.
Subaru in particular though because the boxer engine is really wedged in there. You spend the vast majority of your time either taking the wheel and wheel shroud off to get at the heads or you spend all your time taking crap off the top of the engine to get at the important stuff.
