I need a rear wiper motor for a 1999 subaru legacy wagon. Can it be repaired or should it be replaced?
I have a friend in the auto salvage business. Wiper motors are not that expensive on most cars. You usually can find one from another vehicle and it will cost a great deal less in a lot of cases. The labor to put it in at a shop is usually the biggest cost deterrent. Hope this is of some help. I have repaired my vehicles many times over the years by ‘pilfering’ parts from salvage yards. Sometimes though you have to go to a dealer for some parts. Yellow pages have listings under the auto section sub-classed as used parts.
