subaru reviews
looking for owner views of subaru forester…i know the reviews say that it is a very reliable and safety?

oriented vehicle…but would like to get some owners views as well.

Have you had any problems and if so, what were the problems and were they easy to fix??

Are there any little “quirks” that don’t work quite the way that they should??

THANKS!!!!

Bought one new for our daughter two years ago. It is outstanding and reliable. Her Forester is outside all the time, since there is no garage at her college. No problems with cold starts even after being parked in in zero degree weather for ten days. It has never needed any repairs, other than oil changes, wiper blades and tire rotations. After 12,000 miles it is barely broken in! Traction is excellent. She gets around 21 MPG around town and 30 on the road.

I have a 2002 LL Bean Outback Wagon with 116,000, and it is a wonderful car. Other than oil changes and new tires at 60,000 (Bridgestone Dueler HL’s), I have only replaced the oil pump, timing belt, water pump and plugs. Since the timing belt is normal maintenance and all the other stuff hangs off the front, I saved labor cost and had all the above done at once.

We are replacing my wife’s 2003 Town and Country LXI with a new Forester this summer. There is no comparision. The T&C is junk.

We run Mobil One in both Subies.
