SUBaRU Honking the horns off and on by its self , no security system in it at all ? WHY,?
Cold Weather , ice in the electrical adaptors ? sorry I have to ask I was watching Land of the dead while I realized the horn I had been hearing was my room mates car outside . No one was there by the time I got to the car it honked again. In the dark I touched the winshield wiper handle? by the steering wheel right side ? , it stopped now but what can I do when it is day light to make sure it doesn’t happen tomorrow nite?
A) It’s haunted
B) There is a short in the wiring
C) There is a security system and you don’t know about it. This is the most likely option. Your roommate probably bought a used car that had some off brand lock/unlock/start features on it such as whatever walmart cheapie (such as bulldog … i think) they could get besides AstroStart. It probably quit working in a year and the old owners forgot all about it/quit using it rather than getting it fixed. Take off the battery cable for five minutes and hook it back up and it should be good.
