Is it possible to have no problems still the check engine is on; tech. says the computer is sabotaged?
I had bought a Subaru one year ago; I never faced a problem with it except that the check engine light is always on, I tried to find out what causes the light to be on all the time. Subaru technician says the computer is sabotaged and the only solution, to be changed.
This happened to me on my impreza. Not a single problem with it, but the check engine light would come on at times. Turns out, I was over filling the gas tank. There’s some overflow sensor that sets of the CEL if you put too much gas in…so next time you fill up, stop pumping after the first time the pump stops itself…if it’s the same problem as mine, the light should turn off after a few miles.
