What is the most horsepower gain you have heard of for a 04 subaru wrx open source tune?
i have an up and down pipe spt intake borla exhaust. after and oper source tune what kind of hp should i expect and torque?
With a good tune on a dyno, you could see an increase of close to 50hp and torque. That’s not to say you got a bad tune if you only get 30. It really depends on a lot of things like the condition of your motor, weather, and what type of dyno and how it is set up. Also I hope you don’t have that down pipe on your car now. Or if you do, avoid full throttle pulls or you could damage your motor. I have seen it happen so it’s not just something people say. Problem with open source is that not many reputable tuners with a dyno like to tune with it. It might be better to save up for a tun with some better engine management.
