2002 Subaru Outback Transmission?
I have a 2002 Subaru Outback with a automatic transmission. It is an 2.5L 4 cylinder. I would like to change the fluid in the transmission and the filter. I see it has a external (spin on) filter, but I am wondering does it have a internal filter also? I can’t find anything in my Haynes manual or anything, do I need to buy a external and a internal filter for it? Thanks in advance.
There is no internal filter, just the spin on one. Another reason subaru is awesome.
Edit: Change the filter, Subaru says to change every 30,000 miles, thats why its there, I also run Dextron III (like everyone else) and have over 240,000 on my original transmission.
