Loose Window Driver Side Of Car For Sale?
I am encouraged by the great answers I am continuing to get on my previous question, so I thought I would ask another.
There is a 1991 Subaru Legacy Wagon for sale (the asking price is outrageous) which I drove at a used car dealership several months ago. It has 123,000 miles on it and drove like a Subaru–felt like wheels are really gripping the road and handling was a dream.
I did notice that when I would power down the drivers side window, it seemed to be “dropping” or loose. I was wondering what the cause of that may be and if it is an expensive fix. I would have my mechanic check the auto out (the carfax is clean but I know it doesn’t tell all) and of course would not pay more than $1600 for it.
I never encountered that problem before so any thoughts would be very helpful! Thanks.
Sounds like the gears that move the window have a few teeth missing. I have no idea what it will cost to fix that. I’ve never looked into it.
