Are Subaru’s as tough and reliable as they used to be say 20 years ago??
I want to tow a trailer(caravan)all around Australia.
Apart from the transmission heat, brake rotor, and wheel bearing issues on the SVX, and the head gasket issues on the 2.5 liter engines in the late 90s, yes. Better.
How big is the trailer? The Legacy is only rated for like 2500 pounds.
edit: tow truck dude, unless you were driving a flatbed, you didn’t tow many of them because towing without all wheels on or all wheels off the ground can destroy the differentials. Apologies if you knew that, but if there weren’t tow drivers out there that didn’t know it, they’d never get destroyed by towing.
