is it hard to replace a transmission in a 1998 subaru legacy limited GT?
I am looking into buying one of these cars and the transmission needs replaced on it. since this is a foreign car i am wondering if it will be to hard for me to do in my garage. if anyone knows anything about these kind of cars please give me some info thanks
also i do have all the basic tools standard and metric wrenches and all that but i dont have specific tools for subaru cars and my dad will b helpin me i just wanna know if its gunna be impossible since its a foreign car.
remove the starter, all electrical connectors, rear drive shaft, front axles, tranny cross bar, fluid lines, and bell housing bolts. if you have the proper tools and some good know how then it should be pretty easy. if not, let a mechanic do it.
