Why do we have the impression that Subaru is an Australian made car, not Japanese like it truly is?
I always thought that Subaru was made in Australia? Haven’t they marketed these cars in the U.S. to be for the ‘outback’? I found out today that it really is Japanese and I am so surprised but cannot figure out why exactly I did feel it was Australian.
I don’t know about Aussie Subarus, but many (if not most) Subarus sold in the USA are assembled here (assembled from a mix of domestic and imported parts). Might be the same in Australia. Just guessing.
