I financed a 2008 Subaru vehicle and I can no longer afford it?
I purchased a 2008 Subaru Forester last year for approximately 25,000$ Like most people, I decided to finance the vehicle, and in doing so I unknowingly put myself in a world of debt.
Having recently lost my job, and struggling to make mortgage payments, I simply can’t afford this vehicle and wondering how to go about returning/ selling/ getting rid of it, lessening my payments, and ultimately ending the financing process?
Serious answers only, I need a heads-up before I go through this grueling process.
“in doing so I unknowingly put myself in a world of debt.”
How do you figure? You signed the paperwork, that said you would take on a certain amount of debt. It was a completely conscious decision on your behalf.
“wondering how to go about returning/ selling/ getting rid of it, lessening my payments, and ultimately ending the financing process?”
Call them, and ask them to do a voluntary repossession. They will take the car, and you will be responsible for any past due amounts, but no future amounts.
And your credit will be destroyed.
Have fun.
